Of course, there are clans that didn't join the Camarilla nor the Sabbat. They don't agree with the continuous fights and they don't want any of it. Some of the younger members can be found in each sect. However, the elders are too busy plotting toward their own purposes that would be delayed by such nonsence as sect allegience.    Still, it would be foolish to assume that an average independent clan member is unaligned: they are all vampires first, and clan members only second. Most of these Cainites are concerned with their own personal goals first. This serves only to aggravate outside observers further; an independent vampire is a true wild cat, with no guideline predicting her behaviour.    And yet rumour has it that the elders of these clans are awake at a bigger number than those of any other bloodlines.
